Existing Applicant Registration for Online Account

You must make an online account and then connect it to your application if you are an applicant who has already applied but has not accessed it online. Housing Access will send out letters with registration codes to all applicants presently waiting on the subsidised housing wait list so they may complete their applications online. Letters are currently sent out in batches, beginning with the applicants whose applications date back the furthest.

  • Please check "yes" when registering if you want to receive emails so you can be informed about how to apply as soon as possible.
  • You can use the online portal to modify your details and find out more about York Region's subsidised housing programmes after registering and creating a username. 
  • You must refrain from submitting a new application as an already-existing applicant. Managing your information may take longer if you submit an additional application.

Keeping Your Application Up to Date

After you sign up for the online portal, you will be able to update your application online. If your address, phone number, household makeup, or immigration status modifications, you will have to update your application. Please call Access York at 1-877-464-9675 if you require any kind of help.

Process for an Annual Update

To remain on the wait list after you are added, you're required to review and amend your information for a minimum of once every 12 months. Your name will be taken off the wait list and applications that have not been updated will be withdrawn.

How will I find out about available vacant units or housing benefits?

Upon the start of a new vacancy cycle, waitlist applicants who qualify to take part in the online offer procedure will receive an email. On each subsequent Wednesday at 12:01 a.m., new vacancy cycles begin. You can check the email with details about the available apartments and housing benefits if you’ve established an online account with York Region, even if you have selected not to receive additional emails from the organisation.
